Doctor Strange: 31 Easter Eggs & References You Must See
20. Stan Lee's Cameo
Along with Steve Ditko, Stan Lee created Doctor Strange, so it's only fitting that he would continue his usual habit of cameoing in MCU movies. He appears this time as a bus passenger during one New York set effects-heavy sequence, reading a copy of "The Doors Of Perception" by Aldous Huxley.
It's a hell of an in-joke too: the book details Huxley's experiences when taking mescaline and tripping. Which is exactly what it feels like watching some of Doctor Strange's wilder sequences in the multiverse.
Maybe that's why Lee proclaims the book "hilarious"?
Incidentally, an Extra called Clem So also appears as one of the sorcerors - you'll notice him for his long white hair. Which you might also have noticed in Guardians Of The Galaxy in the prison, since he sticks out like a sore thumb...
