6. He Could Re-Appear In Netflix's Iron Fist
Sometime in 2016 - story direction issues pending - Netflix subscribers can expect their next piece of serialised comic book action to come in the form of Marvel's big punching hero. Along with the headlines we know about this character - master martial arts expert, fighter of crime and possessor of a supernaturally strong set of knuckles - there was a time in comic lore when he crossed paths with none other than the Ancient One. Said meeting occurred in New Avengers #53, during an epic battle where Iron Fist is whisked away to an eerie void, where he comes into contact with an entity that seems to be Doctor Strange's old mentor. After the Ancient One spouts off against his former protege, Iron Fist returns to the Avengers, then in the midst of battle against a demonic force, and helps Doctor Strange come to the realisation that this whole saga was in fact not the doing of his old friend. It may be outlandish to suggest this might feature in the show, but this Avengers/ Doctor Strange crossover could see Swinton make an appearance in this upcoming show - in some form, which would be a good way to tie the MCU and its TV counterpart together closer.
