Doctor Strange Film: 6 (Attainable) Directors Marvel Should Consider

5. Tarsem Singh

Responsible For: The Fall, The Cell, Immortals, Mirror Mirror Why He'd Be Great: In essence, Tarsem has a flawless visual eye and attention to detail that seems almost unparalleled by working directors today. And, like Shyamalan, he's a director who can present a fantastic visual picture, but can't elevate a bad script. However, anyone who's seen The Fall knows that Tarsem can direct actors beautifully, and his sense of scale and love of location would only help a tale like Dr. Strange's. Tag him up with an accomplished or well-to-do writer and watch the sparks fly. Like with Shyamalan, since Marvel would be providing most of the necessary backing, it'd be difficult for him to screw up. It also helps that Stephen Strange walks around, dressed as if he stepped out of one of Singh's films.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
