5. What Can Strange's Third Eye Do?

Multiverse of Madness' final shot sees Stephen happily strutting around the streets of New York when he sprouts a third eye on his forehead, and without any further explanation we cut to black.

"Sinister Strange" is shown to similarly have a third eye earlier in the film, and the clear implication is that his "corruption" from using the Darkhold is what caused it to manifest.

We can assume the same for our original Strange, then, who uses the Darkhold to dream-walk into Defender Strange's corpse near the end of the film.

But beyond that, what exactly does the third eye do?

In the comics, the third eye traditionally appeared on Stephen's forehead when he used the Eye of Agamotto, so it's possible that this unsettling forehead-eye is basically the MCU's new visualisation of the Eye of Agamotto.

While the movie's ending makes it clear that Stephen doesn't yet have control of when the eye manifests, by the next time we see him it may well appear whenever he performs potent magical spells.
