Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 Reasons It Sucks

6. Karl Mordo Is Wasted

Seriously, where the hell was Karl Mordo?

Mordo wasn't in the marketing for Doctor Strange 2 very much and now we know why: he's barely in the film.

In the awesome credits scene of Doctor Strange (2016), he was set up as Doctor Strange's new nemesis but in the end, that version of Mordo is literally not in this movie at all and is only mentioned once. We meet a variant, but a less compelling one at that.

Considering that the first film did a very fine job of establishing Mordo and making him a compelling twist villain, and also considering that he's played by an actor as brilliant as Chiwetel Ejiofer, it is so disappointing that we don't get to see him in action as a fully-fledged villain. Furthermore, it is jarring as all hell when something is clearly set up and then the sequel totally ignores it.

Frankly, the way things are going and considering some recent reports, one is starting to wonder just how firmly planned out the MCU actually is.
