6. It's The MCU's Weirdest Movie Yet

It's not hyperbole to say that this is the weirdest MCU movie to date. Though the franchise has let its freak flag fly with increasing frequency in recent years, "MCU weird" is still pretty demure and safe by wider filmmaking standards.

And while Multiverse of Madness doesn't break the MCU mold by any means, it does ambitiously test just how far Kevin Feige - and, per some of the film's more violent scenes, the MPAA - will let things go.

Given that most of the film is centered around Strange and company traversing the multiverse, Raimi takes us on a trip to various mind-bending alternate universes which are defined by their own bizarre laws and rules.

Beyond that, it's also the closest any MCU film has ever come to being an outright horror film, amping up the high-wire thrills and sometimes surprisingly brutal violence in ways that take the PG-13 rating fairly close to its limit.

Hopefully the film's inevitable success will embolden Feige to greenlight more outlandish and off-the-wall projects like this in the future - albeit hopefully with more consistent scripts.
