5. Benedict Cumberbatch & Elizabeth Olsen's Solid Performances

Despite the film's issues, few are going to come away from it with gripes about the central performances by Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, who typically acquit themselves well.

While the MCU's Strange doesn't exactly go through a ton of character growth throughout the film, Cumberbatch clearly relishes the opportunity to portray a few variants of the superhero, best of all the corrupted Strange glimpsed in the movie's trailers.

He's evidently having a lot of fun, and also demonstrates solid chemistry with America Chavez actress Xochitl Gomez.

The bulk of the dramatic weight is thrust upon Olsen, however, and while her arc throughout Multiverse of Madness is going to generate a lot of passionate debate, there's no faulting Olsen's game attempt to make sense of it.

It's a tricky part, and while the script isn't always working in her favour, Olsen gives it her all.
