8. And It's Weird
If Cap is the athlete, Tony Stark the brain, Ant-Man the criminal and Thor the princess of the MCU, Doctor Strange is definitely the basket case. He's weird, he's magic and he's completely new, and that's exactly what Marvel were aiming for.
And given how many reviewers mention how well the film would work with some... pharmaceutical enhancement... it does seem that Marvel have pulled off the agenda for weirdness...
Strange is no bad thing: it's in the title after all, and anything short of that would have been met with criticism. And at least it backs up the oddity with something more traditional and substantial.
