Dodgeball 2: 5 Other Stiller, Vaughn & Ferrell Sequels We'd Like To See

3. The Campaign: Race to the White House

The CampaignThe Pitch: After giving up his Congressional seat in the last election, Cam Brady (Ferrell) is tired of living in Marty Huggins' (Zach Galifinakis) shadow. Serving as Marty's chief of staff has really cramped Cam's style, and as such he feels it's time to get back into the game. Lucky for him, the Presidential Election is gearing up, and after an exploratory committee proves the polls are in his favor he decides to run. The only problem is, his first choice of running mate (Vaughn) is a hard living, unethical plant...courtesy of the scorned Motch Brothers (Dan Ackroyd & John Lithgow), who are fresh out of prison after their crimes in The Campaign. Switching to Plan B, they instead back said running mate against Brady, in an effort to get him to give up on Politics. What they don't know is that Cam's resourcefulness (or ego, either way) has found a moment to shine through...by naming Marty his running mate. Why We Want It: The Campaign was a perfect return to form for Jay Roach, as directing Meet The Parents sequels almost took him out of the game completely. The combination of his past comedic timing, along with his current tendency of political musings via pictures like Game Change, has served two artistic masters and served them both equally well. Also, pitting Ferrell and Galafinakis against each other, is more than just a shrewd publicity tactic. The comedic titans played so well off of each other in the first film that to see them clash as part of the same ticket could be even funnier than having them run against each other. Cameo Possibilities: Ben Stiller plays the Incumbent President, who's reached the end of his term limits. We check back regularly with him throughout the outrageous proceedings, and ultimately we see him mentally collapse under the pressure.
