Dream Casting Quentin Tarantino's Casino Royale

7. Harvey Keitel As Mr. White

Too meta?

In Daniel Craig's Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, Jesper Christiansen's Mr. White is more of a plot device than a full-fledged character, and simply pops up whenever the story requires to either commit a nefarious deed or provide an info dump to move Bond on from one location to the next.

Tarantino claimed that his entire approach to 007 would have been to subvert everything we knew about him, and it doesn't come much more subversive than having Harvey Keitel show up to deliver exposition for a scene or two in a Bond movie as somebody with the exact same name as his Reservoir Dogs character, something that longtime fans of QT would no doubt get a huge kick out of.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
