Wright and Peggs local pub used to be the Shepherds in Highgate, the establishment which provided the inspiration for Shauns favourite drinking hole the Winchester. When attempting to get inside the pub, Shaun yells through the letterbox that we do the quiz, something the creative duo used to do at their own pub. Another quiz-goer was Chris Martins Coldplay, who cameos multiple times throughout the film as a zombie you can see him as Shaun attempts to distract the zombies outside the Winchester and near the phonebox when Liz and Shaun take the cellar-lift to the road outside.
He also appears as himself promoting the charity ZombAid when Shaun flicks through the channels at the end. Bandmate Will Champion also provides zombie vocals during the Winchester siege.
