1. It Doesn't Work As A Standalone Movie

Though Breaking Bad fans obviously won't see this as a complaint, there are those Netflix subscribers who may want to consider dipping their toes in this universe by watching El Camino, and honestly, it's really not worth your while.

Gilligan doesn't make much effort at all to make his story accessible to a wider audience, loading it as he does with meaning-filled flashbacks which require a knowledge of the established lore.

And clearly, that is absolutely the movie Gilligan wanted to make, though with the film dropping on as democratic a service as Netflix, piped into all of our homes as it is, some unsuspecting subscribers might be taken aback by just how alienated El Camino will leave them.

Again, though, this won't concern fans one bit. And so, on with everything Gilligan and co. got so, so right...
