2. Wyldstyle - The Lego Movie
The Lego Movie should have been terrible; its a kids movie set in a world made of Lego, so it should just have been an annoying comedy made with the aim of selling toys. Yet it proved to be one of the best comedies for all ages in the last decade, thanks to its energetic style and the quality of the voice acting. Banks provided the voice for female lead Wyldstyle (aka Lucy), a Master Builder who believes that the idiot Emmet might be the key to stopping the evil Lord Business. Again Banks takes a character that could have been an idealised dream girl, only to give it some depth. Wyldstyle might look like the ultimate cool chick yet shes ridiculed with insecurities; she's someone who is constantly trying to reinvent herself, as shes uncomfortable in her own skin. Shes also hilarious in the role, as she gets some of the best lines to perform. Thanks to the part, shes now responsible for making grown men develop a genuine crush on a Lego figure.
