Encanto Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

Ups...

7. The INCREDIBLE Animation

Encanto Disney

Even when the story doesn't reach its full potential, basically everyone will agree that Encanto is one of the most visually stunning animated films Disney has ever produced.

From first minute to last, this is an absolutely lush feast of a film, making the sure most of its exotic setting by ensuring practically every frame of the film is awash in vibrant colours.

Beyond that, the characters are wonderfully expressive, and the environments - particularly the river near the Madrigals' home - look startlingly photorealistic at times.

If there's any one reason to watch Encanto on the big screen as opposed to on Disney+ in a month, it's the eye-wateringly beautiful visuals, which are some of the most breathtaking of any animated film released in recent years.
