Enola Holmes Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs
2. Daniel Pemberton's Fantastic Musical Score
Composer Daniel Pemberton continues to prove himself one of the most exciting and talented composers working today, adding yet another rousing score to his growing collection.
Pemberton manages to not only capture the vibe of the Victorian era with all the expected string instrumentation, but also ensures to evoke the infectious spirit of Enola herself with a breakneck, unpredictable pace.
Pemberton scores the brief spurts of action to be thrillingly frenetic, and also isn't above laying a gorgeous orchestral swell over the more heartfelt and affecting moments.
Between this and his fantastic score for Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword a few years ago, Pemberton is quickly earmarking himself as The Guy to add pep to a cinematic reboot of a beloved IP.
