There’s no shortage of action roles for male athletes, and while it’s tempting to consider the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin or Dave Bautista for the part of Snake Plissken, it’s doubly tempting to picture Ronda Rousey in the role.

The first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in Judo (as Joel McHale says, she’s “knocked out more women than Bill Cosby”), she had Sylvester Stallone’s back in The Expendables 3 and traded punches with Michelle Rodriguez in Furious Seven so it’s not like she’s a stranger to action cinema.

The role isn’t about dialogue or soul-searching but looking good, kicking ass and finding the President - in that order. And of course there would have to be some one-on-one female wrestling. For the fans, you know.
