Eternals: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

How does the MCU's latest superhero supergroup shake out?

Eternals is unquestionably one of the most ambitious Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to date, boasting an epic, universe-spanning scope along with a massive, star-studded cast.

For starters, there are the 10 Eternals themselves - arguably too many heroes for any single movie to satisfyingly introduce in fact, such that it's little surprise these characters are all over the map quality-wise.

But the Eternals are nevertheless distinct, diverse characters with a wide array of powers and personality traits, such that identification is likely to vary wildly among audiences.

Beyond the Eternals, though, there are of course a few other vital characters, namely the villains and a few humans who become entwined with the ancient superheroes' mission.

But how does the movie's roster stack up? It's time to take a deep dive into each character's pros and cons and figure out how they rank next to each other.

This list doesn't include the appearances of you know who in the credits scenes, though, because they're just too insubstantial to make much of a dent.

And so on with the list, which it goes without saying contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the movie...

14. Kro

Deviant leader Kro (Bill Skarsgård) basically takes default last place because, despite being built up as a monstrous and imposing foe, he's dispatched with comical ease in the third act.

It's understandable that most of the Deviants aren't really characters at all, what with their inability to communicate with humans, but given that Kro develops the ability to speak after killing Gilgamesh (Don Lee), you'd hope he might be more than a generic alien monster.

Despite solid voice work from Bill Skarsgård, Kro is a pretty typical disposable secondary MCU antagonist - he's here to pile the threat onto the Eternals and be swiftly dispatched when he's no longer needed.

That's exactly what happens when he's diced into chunks by Thena (Angelina Jolie), which is really his only memorable scene. Nothing to see here.
