Eternals: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best
13. Dane Whitman
Dane Whitman (Kit Harington) is at an understandable disadvantage here given that he's a human without any superpowers - or so it seems for most of the movie, anyway.
Dane is Sersi's (Gemma Chan) partner who works at the Natural History Museum and appears in a few fairly forgettable establishing scenes, forming a love triangle with Sersi and Ikaris (Richard Madden).
He's in no way vital to the core of the story, and his chemistry with Gemma Chan isn't really convincing enough to make the romance memorable.
His presence is worthwhile, however, for both the hilarious scene where he, as a possibly unintentional Game of Thrones Easter egg, profess his love for "Cersei," and the post-credits scene where he receives the Ebony Blade and encounters Blade (Mahershala Ali).
Clearly there are bigger things in store for the character as he begins his journey to become superhero Black Knight, but his role in Eternals doesn't amount to much at all
