Eternals: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

Sprite (Lia McHugh) is another majorly tragic Eternal but in a totally different way. She longs for the romantic connection with another human that she can seemingly never have because she physically resembles a child.

This is established right at the start of the movie when she disguises herself as a projection of an adult woman at a London bar, but her intangible projection doesn't allow her any physical contact with anyone.

Less convincing, however, is her relentless pining for Ikaris, who unsurprisingly doesn't return her romantic feelings.

It feels like a lazy motivator for Sprite's heel turn later in the film, when her desire to live like a human is more than enough to define her character.

This at least gets a satisfying payoff at film's end when she voluntarily gives up her immortality.
