Eternals: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

Sersi is effectively the movie's default protagonist, and though she's far from Eternals' most interesting character, Gemma Chan brings the gravity and resolve to the role it absolutely requires.

Yes, the love triangle with Ikaris and Dane is lousy, and Sersi doesn't really have as profound an arc as many other Eternals, but she's still an appealing enough character from whose perspective the audience experiences these events.

Much more could've been done with Sersi learning her place in the universe and fleshing out her own fondness for humanity, but given the complexities the script has to acquaint audiences with, it's basically acceptable that the focal hero isn't particularly complicated.
