Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

4. Rachel McAdams' Solid Performance
As dull as Ferrell's performance mostly is, Rachel McAdams at least makes a solid effort to try and inject some charm into proceedings.
Whether she's enthusiastically belting out a tune or keeping a straight face while listening to Ferrell's absurd prattling, she largely manages to escape the movie with her dignity in tact.
In the very least, she isn't just phoning things in, and is clearly making an attempt to elevate the film's bare bones of a script.
There's only so much she can do, but her general likeability ensures the film could've been much worse with a less-appealing actress in the lead.
A performer of her caliber absolutely deserves better than this, but you can't fault her commitment to the part.
