Deadpool may be an anti-Marvel movie in many ways, but it's still got the nagging villain problem that continually hounds the MCU.

Ajax is an extremely dull villain and, while it doesn't help that he's surrounded by the charismatic Deadpool and highly entertaining likes of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Colossus and even Angel Dust, the script just makes no effort to give him any real personality whatsoever.

Sure, it doesn't help that Ed Skrein (aka cut-price Jason Statham) gives flat line readings throughout, but it says a lot about the movie's villain treatment that most casual fans probably wouldn't even remember his name (well, they might remember Francis).

At least the movie is off-the-wall enough that it managed to get away with having a bland antagonist.
