Remember when the Internet basically collapsed in on itself as Ben Affleck was revealed to be the new Batman?

Well, "Batfleck" sure as hell proved everyone wrong with his excellent work as both Bruce Wayne and Batman, making Christian Bale's Caped Crusader feel weirdly dull by comparison.

Though the script definitely presents some roadblocks, especially with how much wanton murder Batman straight-up commits throughout the movie, Affleck is great as the tortured, angry Bruce Wayne and extremely physical Batman.

His work here is surely the most universally-acclaimed aspect of the movie, aided by some savage fight choreography for sure (far superior to the more clumsy fisticuffs in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga).

Expect fan appreciation for Batfleck to only surge once he gets a few more movies in.
