Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
24. Blended (2014)
Watching Adam Sandler's films is to learn his rom-coms tend to go one of two ways; they're either disastrously poor and even offensive, or they're surprisingly sweet, with flaws easily overshadowed. Blended sits right in the middle.
Starring Sandler as a widower who ends up on an African safari with a recent blind date (Drew Barrymore), the film has all the trademarks of the actor's quirks, balancing his outrageous humour with his desire to tell a sweet story of family togetherness.
As with their previous collaborations, it's Barrymore who steals the show as a recent divorcee, and it's safe to say some jokes don't land (there's sloppy gender politics and racist stereotypes galore), but Blended still works as a sappy little addition to Sandler's rom-com catalogue.
