Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
14. Billy Madison (1995)
Billy Madison's premise is just ludicrous enough to work: Adam Sandler portrays the title character, the heir to a billion-dollar company, who must complete all twelve grades of school to prove to his father he's a responsible person.
Yup, it makes absolutely no sense, but Sandler makes it work, playing Billy as an immature, spoiled man-child who learns his upbringing doesn't dictate who he has to be. It's odd and dumb and juvenile, yet endearingly sweet once Billy's story reaches its meaningful end.
Billy Madison is, all told, Sandler at his most quintessentially him, having the best time doing what he loves. Watching it back all these years later, it's easy to see why we so happily embraced him.
