Every Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Ranked Worst To Best

31. Stay Hungry

Arnold Schwarzenegger Ranked
TriStar Pictures

The second leading role Schwarzenegger took on (and a damn sight better than Hercules in New York), 1976's Stay Hungry is a weird oddity of a film. Arnie stars as Joe Santo, a bodybuilder with aspirations of becoming Mr. Universe - just like the real deal. He's joined this time by a young Jeff Bridges, who plays a southern socialite who ends up befriending Santo and getting involved in the bodybuilding scene. It's a real headscratcher tone-wise, though, with 1977 documentary Pumping Iron ultimately doing a much better job of relaying the world Schwarzenegger inhabited during his days as an athlete.
