Every Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Ranked Worst To Best

29. Collateral Damage

Arnold Schwarzenegger Ranked
Warner Bros.

A throwback to the kind of action film Schwarzenegger was making a decade prior, 2002's Collateral Damage was directed by The Fugitive's Andrew Davis but never once comes close to exhibiting the same kind of verve and momentum as that Harrison Ford-starring masterpiece. Here, Schwarzenegger plays firefighter Captain Gordy Brewer, a man out for revenge against a Colombian drug ring, whose attack on a consulate in Los Angeles resulted in the deaths of Brewer's wife and child. It's par for the course as far as early 2000s action films go, and while it's interesting to see Schwarzenegger take on more of a John McClane-esque character, he ultimately proves unsuited to and poorly served by the material in question.
