Every Avenger's Best Performance OUTSIDE The MCU
9. Chris Hemsworth - Bad Times At The El Royale
As Thor, Chris Hemsworth is one of the MCU's "Big Three" (and strongest Avenger!), and it will be interesting to see where his character goes, now that the Infinity Saga has ended and the other two major leads have departed the franchise.
Over the years he's had the great opportunity of flexing his acting chops, and while Thor started off as the super-serious and stoic member of the team, we never saw him in a much darker light. Especially, as his character got much funnier, later on in the franchise.
While I might have been inclined to say 2013's Rush was his best performance out the MCU, hats have to be taken off instead for his role as Billy Lee in 2018's Bad Times At The El Royale. This was hunky Chris Hemsworth chewing the scenery of a quirky hotel as the charming but incredibly sinister leader of a Manson-like cult.
Finally, a film that proved Hemsworth wasn't just a pretty face with a gorgeous body (though he does show it off in one of the film's best scenes). His time on screen is limited, but as soon as he wanders in from the rain, he's carrying a vibe with him that's both enthralling and disturbingly dark.
