Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

45. Glory Daze (1995)

Ben Affleck Gone Girl Batman v Superman Pearl Harbor
Fusion Studios Inc.

1995's indie comedy Glory Daze was Affleck's first outright leading role as the soon-to-graduate Jack Freeman who is reluctant to move on with adult life.

On paper there's plenty to like here - the cast alone, with Sam Rockwell, John Rhys-Davies, and Alyssa Milano starring, while Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon, Brendan Fraser, and Leah Remini appear in small roles - but despite a few fun moments it's mostly a totally typical coming-of-age '90s comedy.

Affleck is effortlessly obnoxious in the lead role - terrible haircut and all - but the script thinks it's far more profound than it is, as was true of so many too-cool-for-school, sub-Linklater comedies of the era.
