Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

41. Deep Water (2022)

Ben Affleck Gone Girl Batman v Superman Pearl Harbor
Hulu

Affleck's just-released, long-delayed erotic thriller Deep Water is sure to be remembered as one of the year's most baffling releases.

Genre maestro Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction, Unfaithful) returns for his first film in 20 years - an utterly unhinged project that's ultimately neither thrilling nor sexy.

Watching the end product, it's little surprise that reshoots were undertaken to try and fix things, nor that co-stars Affleck and de Armas - who began dating after meeting on the film - barely lifted a finger to promote it.

Between the utterly, hilariously silly murder-mystery plot and surprising lack of actual sex and nudity, this is an erotic thriller that falls at the first hurdle and then keeps falling all the way to the finish.

It certainly provides some laughs, but you have to wonder why stars like Affleck and de Armas agreed to go anywhere near it.
