Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
54. Surviving Christmas (2004)
Most A-listers end up making a crappy Christmas movie sooner or later, and Affleck's is Surviving Christmas, Mike Mitchell's insipid yuletide rom-com in which a wealthy young advertising exec (Affleck) pays a man (James Gandolfini) $250,000 to spend Christmas with him and his family.
It's about as hokey as setups come and the rest of the script isn't any better, with the film receiving Razzie nominations for Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actor for Affleck.
Though James Gandolfini just about escapes with his dignity in tact, Surviving Christmas is a testament to the obvious truth that shooting a film without a completed script is almost always an awful idea.
