Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
23. Jay & Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
There are perhaps few films in history more pointedly "for the fans" than Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, the latest effort from the increasingly slipshod Kevin Smith - a sequel to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back which trains its meta target on Hollywood's reboot culture.
There's no denying that the film coasts on fan nostalgia for the better View Askewniverse films, but the parade of cameos do provide periodic entertainment, with Affleck's brief-but-brilliant appearance proving by far the best of the bunch.
This marked Affleck's first collaboration with Smith in many years, and the result is a surprisingly affecting scene about parenthood that's genuinely the best thing Smith's written in years.
Affleck acts the hell out of it, pouring his heart into a reprise of Holden McNeil that steals the whole damn movie.
