Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
51. Phantoms (1998)
Affleck may have been the bomb in Phantoms, but Phantoms itself was a bomb both critically and commercially.
One of the many dud genre films Miramax shoved Affleck in at the turn of the century, Phantoms is a sci-fi horror misfire from Joe Chappelle, the director of... Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
Though jam-packed with likeable and talented actors, including Rose McGowan, Liev Schreiber, and inexplicably Peter O'Toole, the slack direction and uneven writing fail to make the most of what could've been a fun creature feature.
None of the cast embarrasses themselves in it, but there's a reason its only enduring legacy is a reference in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
