Every Bond Movie Theme Song Ranked Worst To Best

22. The World Is Not Enough By Garbage

Garbage were one of the biggest bands of the 90's and like many teens of the era were one of my favourite bands in my formative years. Which made their truly half hearted effort at performing a Bond theme all the harder to take.

With all their edginess gone, Garbage go on autoplay with the normally effervescent Shirley Manson sounding like she accidentally took some sleeping pills just before they hit record. The tune is the same as everything we have heard before but done much weaker this time around, with lyrics that are mundane and lifeless.

What makes this passionless effort all the more harder to take is the fact that it manages to halt the momentum that had been put into overdrive in the film's pre credit scene. To enjoy The World is Not Enough's incredible intro with an epic gun battle, a double cross, an exploding brief case and a stunning boat chase, only to have to sit through three minutes of boring Garbage was too much. Especially for all their fans who loved the band so much.

While he likes to know himself as the 'thunder from down under', Luke is actually just a big dork who loves all things sport, film, James Bond, Doctor Who and Karaoke. With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
