Every Cillian Murphy Movie Ranked Worst To Best
15. Red Eye (2005)
Wes Craven's best movie outside the Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises, Red Eye casts Cillian Murphy in a rare villainous role, playing a terrorist who holds a woman (Rachel McAdams) and her family hostage from an airplane.
A film rife with great tension and action sequences, Craven's thriller works best when its actors are forced to face each other, with Murphy's bad guy Jackson Rippner proving a charming, sinister foil for McAdams' crafty heroine.
Menacing to the end and scarily cold-hearted, Murphy relishes his chance to play the complex foe, and though you'll see where the story's going from the very first frame, he and McAdams are too compelling together to deduct points for Red Eye's predictability.
