13. The Bounty (1984)
Though Roger Donaldson's rock solid sea-faring drama is all about Anthony Hopkins and Mel Gibson, DDL nevertheless gives a compelling supporting turn as Hopkins' second-in-command, Sailing Master John Fryer.
Overall the pic is a well-mounted production with a great deal of moral ambiguity regarding the two focal characters, and though Day-Lewis falls into the background a little more than usual, he contributes to an overall terrific ensemble.
Simply, if you want to see a more low-key smug tosspiece performance from the acting legend, while working amid a magnificent cast also including Laurence Olivier and Liam Neeson.
