Justice League Dark's long and storied history has been one mostly defined by false starts and directors leaving, with Guillermo Del Toro and Doug Liman both departing without getting too far into production.

For now, the film seems to be lost in development hell (even though Del Toro did have a script he was "damn proud" of), but last we heard, artist Joseph Kahn had shared some incredible-looking concept art for it. Beyond that, it's very much

Will It Happen?

Stranger things have happened, but it doesn't look like a priority for Warner Bros - particularly with the animated movie already released. It would be nice for it to happen, but maybe don't hold your breath.

Maybe Del Toro will come back round to it in the future...?
