Every Denzel Washington Movie Ranked Worst To Best
36. The Book Of Eli (2010)
One of Washington's more underrated efforts, The Book of Eli is far from a homerun: Its worldbuilding is unfinished, its effects tacky, and the majority of its characters are thin and stereotyped.
But then there's Washington, starring as the eponymous character as a man living by a strict code, on a mission to deliver a ray of hope to a post-apocalyptic safe haven.
Stern and wise, the actor is deeply engaging, and sells the movie's effective twists and stylish violence just enough to help it overcome its disappointing weaknesses.
