Every Denzel Washington Movie Ranked Worst To Best

Perhaps the only film of his career where Washington feels genuinely overshadowed by a co-star, Safe House stars Ryan Reynolds as a low-level CIA operative placed in the care of a fugitive rogue agent, who has information of a government conspiracy.

As ever, Washington sells his character's lethal secrets and intimidating skills, but it's surprisingly Reynolds who comes out on top as a man completely out of his element, but able to adapt under mountainous pressure.

It's a typical thriller with an unchallenging narrative, sure, but it's great to see two vastly different stars working off each other so well.
