About as quintessentially 90s as an action movie has ever been, Washington stars in Ricochet as a D.A desperate to bring down a deadly hitman (John Lithgow).
Relentless and gleefully aware of how silly it is, the film finds Washington being a little bit too straight for the material, but particularly soars with Lithgow's energetic portrayal of vengeful evil.
It's not high art, and Washington feels slightly miscast, but it's still adrenaline-fuelled madness that's earned its place as a cult gem.
