Every Doctor Strange Easter Egg And Reference In The MCU (So Far)

1. The Inevitable Foreshadowing - Captain America: Civil War

OK, so this one isn't something we've had yet, but you can bet there'll be some link to Doctor Strange in the incoming Captain America: Civil War, so this feels like the perfect time to try and figure what it could be.

The obvious way would be with a post-credit scene - even though Nick Fury and Thanos were thinking years in advance, most of the others are only ever teasing one or two movies ahead, mainly due to shooting limitations. With that in mind, the obvious candidates are Strange or Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and the former is certainly more connected to the Earth-set conflict. As for what the scene could contain: well, just about anything - that's the point of the magic, although it'd likely involve one of Civil War's key players in some way.

Of course, if the stinger ends up being for Guardians (a guaranteed crowd-pleaser), then perhaps there'll be an allusion in the movie proper. Nothing as big as a cameo - the film already has enough heroes to set up and, as we saw in the teaser, at this point he's not become a Sorcerer - but perhaps an allusion to a gifted surgeon? Only a few weeks until we find out.
