13. Halloween 98: The Evil Is Gone

Written by super fan and Halloween extraordinaire Justin Morris, The Evil Is Gone was a sequel to Halloween 6 that would do away with the Thorn subplot that dominated the later sequels, instead focussing in on Tommy, Kara, Steven, and Danny, as well as throwing in a few cameos and references to the earlier movies - but that was before Laurie Strode was revealed to be returning to the series, ruining Morris's hopes and dreams in one fell swoop.

The only reason it didn't make it to screen is purely as Halloween H20 came around instead, incorporating Kevin Williamson's Strode storyline that was missing from this iteration.
