Every Harry Potter Villain Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Peter Pettigrew
Peter Pettigrew's entry into the series is easily one of its best scenes. It's full of intensity, revelation and bizarre humour. His rat-like tics are a little on the nose, but for this genre they work very well. Pettigrew isn't threatening on his own, but his desperation and terrified nature around Voldemort bolster the threat of the big bad.
Whilst his appearance in the third film is fantastic, his role in the later films is woefully disappointing. His death in the books is clever and emotional; it's hard not to feel sorry for him as he chokes to death on his own cursed hand. In the films, he is knocked out by Dobby and is never seen again. It's a waste of what could've been the best side villain in the series.
