9. Nagini
Not the best snake in the series, but still a threatening monster.
Nagini's small size and fast movement make for some intense set pieces; the best one being the frantically edited tussle with Harry in Godric's Hollow. There's an added layer of horror to the snake, when the reason she remains close to Voldemort is revealed to be that a part of his soul is inside her. This becomes even more tragic, when the Fantastic Beasts series reveals that she used to be a human. There's a lot more to explore with this character, and future films should capitalise on that.
She gets extra points for having one of the coolest death scenes in the entire saga.
