Every Hellraiser Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

7. Hellraiser: Hellworld

Hellraiser I am In Hell
Miramax Films

By the time of the eighth film, Hellraiser was in a bad place - a Hellworld, if you will.

At this point in its DVD-only existence, the filmmakers had seemingly given up attempting to replicate Barker’s vision or even do it justice.

Hellworld finds the series plumbing the depths of generic slasher waters, complete with the kind of braindead teens we hesitate to call wooden because it’s an insult to a useful fire fuel.

If that isn’t enough, Pinhead, his puzzle box and lethal chains only exist within a video game in Hellworld… or do they? By the end of this ordeal, you won’t even care.

Like most Hellraiser movies, it does have redeeming features - Bradley delivers his lines with the usual nightmarish grace ,and sci-fi-horror veteran Lance Henriksen does everything he can with the screenplay.

There’s also a less-than-super performance from Henry Cavill.
