The Last Jedi was divisive, but Episode IX is still a hugely exciting prospect. It's one of the biggest movies of the whole year, and is concluding Disney's new trilogy and the entire Skywalker Saga.

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will both be back in some capacity, the stories of Rey and Kylo Ren will continue, and the new additions include Keri Russell, Matt Smith, and Richard E. Grant. With an almost blank slate after Episode VIII, director J.J. Abrams has the opportunity to take things in really fresh directions.

After the disappointment of Solo, Star Wars is back in the December tentpole release slot that just feels so right, and this is (hopefully) going to be one hell of a way to round out the year.
