Every In-Production Fox Marvel Movie That Could Join The MCU

5. Kitty Pryde

Doctor Doom Marvel Studios
Marvel Comics

Fox began development of a Kitty Pryde solo film being called "143," which is likely in reference to Uncanny X-Men #143. That book was one of the character's first solo outings in the series, but it is likely only serving as inspiration to writer Brian Michael Bendis as he develops the script for the film.

Like many of the other projects on this list, there isn't much known about the film. Bendis assuaged everyone's fears relating to whether or not the film was still going forward after the merger with a Tweet in February:

Kitty Pryde, aka Shadowcat, has already appeared in a few Fox X-Men films portrayed by Ellen Page, but this new film will likely see an entirely new cast, leading many to believe it will have a place in the MCU.

Adding Mutants to the MCU is definitely Kevin Feige's plan moving forward, so it stands to reason Kitty will be a part of that group. Even as a solo film, she has a place in the MCU. After all, she did take over the role of Star-Lord as the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics, so there is precedent already in place for her placement on that team.
