Every James Bond Finale Ranked

2. From Russia With Love - The Ultimate Chase Scene

James Bond Quantum of Solace

From Russia with Love's climax is a stunning piece of cinema.

Steely, ferociously suspenseful and beautifully directed, the chases and fight scene that end the movie are monumentally thrilling, to the extent that comparisons with Hitchcock (who was a contender to direct the movie, but ultimately didn't) would be perfectly justified.

The helicopter showdown, the boat chase and then the final fight with Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya), the film's lead villain, are all masterful and even if the stakes aren't as high as they are with many Bond finales, the film's finale still hits unbelievably and is ageing so damn well too. The film is almost sixty years old, but this finale has hardly aged a day.

So, what could be possibly be better than this?
