Every James Bond Henchmen Ranked

20. Chang - Moonraker

Adolph Gettler James Bond
United Artists

A mildly entertaining henchman from one of the franchise's lighter films, Chang (Toshiro Suga) only has one or two lines but he is still a hell of a lot better than his boss, Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale).

He also gets two good set-pieces. Firstly, he tries to assassinate Bond using a centrifuge training simulator, which is a very tense scene, and later he and Bond have a hilariously overblown fight in a glassworks facility. Bond then throws him from a height into a piano, killing him, and quips "Play it again, Sam." Lovely Casablanca reference there.

As quiet Bond henchmen go, Chang is just fine, albeit not very memorable.
