Every James Bond Henchmen Ranked

16. May Day - A View To A Kill

Adolph Gettler James Bond

May Day (Grace Jones), the girlfriend and henchwoman of main villain Max Zorin (Christopher Walken) is an undeniably striking character.

She's often entertaining and badass and she's also refreshingly unique among Bond villains, but she fades into the background a bit during the second half of the film and Grace Jones' line readings are hit-or-miss. Therefore, it feels like she could've been a bit more.

Still, she gets a very good ending. After being betrayed and left to die in a flooded mine by Zorin, she joins Bond and sacrifices herself to transport his bomb out into the open, thus allowing it to explode harmlessly outside. This switching of sides is actually pretty satisfying, so it was a good writing decision.

Overall, she's a good Bond henchman, but not a great one.
